The University of Algarve, in collaboration with the Portimão Campus Library, is promoting a cycle of online lectures and webinars that aims to enlighten participants about access to higher education. The initiative will take place from March 9th to 24th. And the registration is free.
The talks, which will always take place online, via Zoom, are aimed at young people in 9th grade, secondary school, and higher education, but also at vocational education students, young people from the municipality of Portimão, and the community in general.
The “Young March 2022” initiative, organized by the Municipality of Portimão, kicks off on March 9, at 10.30 am, with the presentation of the lecture “9th year… What now?”. “Access to Higher Education: all you need to know” is the theme addressed on the 17th.
On the 18th, the theme of vocational courses will be addressed, with the talk “I’m a student on a vocational course, and I’m going to university”. And “Don’t stress! Come study where it’s good to live” will close this cycle, on the 24th.
During the initiative, webinars will also be held on financial literacy (2 March, at 6 pm), the European Union (15 March, at 3 pm), and maths (29 March, at 3 pm).
