Merkle, a company of the Dentsu group, had been operating for around two years in the incubator of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD).
Dentsu’s new facilities in Vila Real were inaugurated on 9th July, in the presence of the rector of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Emídio Gomes, and the vice-rector for Innovation, Technology Transfer and Digital University, João Barroso.
Over the past two years, Merkle, whose group specialises in the digital transformation area, namely in media services, digital communication and creative communications, “has evolved with remarkable dynamism to the point where it now has its own premises in the city, located in Quinta da Redonda, next to Mateus Health Centre”, can be read in a news available on the university website.
Currently, the company employs 35 computer engineers, and about half are former students of UTAD. “Everything indicates that this growth potential will be maintained in the coming years in Vila Real”, it is also referred.
