New University will have a campus in Egypt

Nova Cairo. This is the name of the first university campus of Universidade Nova de Lisboa located across borders. According to information released by the institution, the new campus “should become fully operational from September 2022, offering degrees in the areas of Management, Engineering and Data Science”.

The project is the result of the University’s internationalisation strategy. The agreement for the establishment of Nova Cairo was signed on 26 October 2021, in the Egyptian capital, by the Rector and Professor João Sàágua and the President of The Knowledge Hub Universities, Professor Mahmoud Allam.

The ceremony was attended and witnessed by Manuela Franco, Portuguese Ambassador to Egypt, the Vice-Rector of Nova, Professor João Amaro de Matos, as well as other representatives of the institution.
