Debate intelligent solutions for sustainability in P.PORTO

Portugal | Sustainability | 6 to 8 October

Politécnico do Porto, Red de Educación Continua de Latinoamérica y Europa (RECLA) and EIPP (e-Learning and Pedagogical Innovation Unit), organizers of the International Meeting RECLA, open a debate on sustainability in an event dedicated to Smart Learning Solutions for Sustainable Societies.

The meeting takes place in a hybrid regime (face-to-face and virtual) on 6, 7 and 8 October 2021 and confirms as main speakers Luís Rothes, national coordinator of the Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC), Michaela Martin, specialist for the areas of Higher Education and Organizational Policy of UNESCO and António Leite, Regional Delegate of the North of the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training.

Sustainable societies are built on 21st-century skills. Achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implies a new set of knowledge, insights and attitudes, as well as innovative and smart strategies that drive comprehensive technologies in our societies, both in professional and academic environments.

The emergence of innovative solutions in different operative contexts, the role of continuing education in contemporary societies, emphasizing the vision of a renewed role of education – and, in particular, of a hybrid academic profile – in connecting scientific knowledge, technology and are some goals of this meeting, which seeks to encourage debate between key players, institutions and citizens to share technical and scientific challenges.
